What facilities are there at Tranquil Waters?
The modern Leisure Centre includes a heated swimming pool, BBQ, kitchen facilities, function area, lounge, two bars, two billiard tables, indoor bowls, library, hairdresser and craft and computer room. A workshop, boat and caravan storage area are also available. In addition, a commercial kitchen allows for easy catering.
The function room’s bi-folding glass doors lead out to a spacious covered barbecue patio area located next to a large outdoor heated L-shaped swimming pool that has a ramp for easy access to the water.
The upstairs balcony area offers superb water and island views with the adjacent bar ideally located for 'happy hour' every afternoon.
There is also a large library for private reading and a hairdresser visiting the upstairs hair salon on a regular basis. Adjacent is also a private medical room that can be used by allied health professionals.
Walking and cycling tracks can be enjoyed in the neighbouring park which fronts directly onto Thompson's Beach offering BBQ and playground facilities - all good fun for grandchildren and the young at heart!
Are there any aged care services available at Tranquil Waters?
Yes, support services are easily accessible so you can continue to reside in your villa. Provided by registered organisations, Community Aged Care Packages (CACP) are individually planned and coordinated packages of care tailored to help older Australians with low-level care needs to remain living in their own homes. They are funded by the Australian Government to provide for the complex care needs of older people.
Supporting this are a number of aged care facilities in Victoria Point and in Redland City i.e. there are approximately 1,183 residential care beds built with planning for another 368 in the Redlands alone (as at July 2011).
Is the village safe and secure?
Yes, the village is fully fenced and gated with remote controlled entry. All villa windows are security screen fitted allowing you to enjoy coastal breezes with peace of mind.
Is there a Medical Alert?
Yes, there is a 24hr medical emergency service available to residents.
