Australia Day CelebrationsPosted in 'Resident Events, Village Events' on February 1, 2012 The Tranquil residents always look forward to celebrating Australia Day.
We have the traditional flag raising, performed by our oldest resident " Harry Wicke " aged 97. This is followed by the normal Aussie BBQ of bacon & eggs.
It is wonderful to be able to spend this special day with so many friends.

Festive Season - Management PartyPosted in 'Resident Events, Village Events' on December 18, 2011 Hello from the Village ManagerPosted in 'Sales' on November 24, 2011 Christmas 2011 will be both happy and sad for me. Happy because we are in the final stages of building and sad because it is the end of an era.
I have been here since the village began in 2000 and welcomed our first residents, the late Chilla and Ngaire Goodchap. Since then many more have joined us and what a delight it is to listen to the laughter and see new friends enjoy each others company at functions and outings.
Tranquil Waters has a vibrant and friendly community full of laughter, fun and friendship. Retirement is not about slowing down, but having the time to do the things you enjoy most.
So this is the last chance to secure one of the few remaining NEW villas.
We have released stage 10 and have already welcomed the first resident. These new villas are north/south facing with good patios and in a few weeks we will have three 3bedroom units available. These villas have more than ample storage, but be quick as they will be the last.
Maybe one day we will be able say to you "welcome aboard".

Leukaemia Foundation Fair $4,800 Raised!Posted in 'Resident Events, Village Events' on November 7, 2011 The Leukaemia Foundation is dedicated to the care & the cure of patients & families living with leukaemias, lymphomas, myeloma & related blood disorders.
Here at Tranquil Waters, in November each year, our committee organizes a leukaemia day & has successfully raised large amounts of money for the foundation annually. The amount of $4,800 was raised in support of the Leukaemia Foundation, well over $1,000 more than last year.
Give yourselves a pat on the back everyone, not just the organisers but all of you who took the time to join in the fun, buying raffle tickets, jewellery, cakes and biscuits, handmade goods as well as our white elephant stall.
Over $230 alone was raised by the auction of "teddy" lovingly handmade by Tranquil Waters resident, Audrey Priest. Thanks Audrey.
In the food department, sausages flew off the BBQs and morning and afternoon teas were on the go all day. Our very own Tranquil Tones also added to the day with their lovely singing.
